Concept Study 01

Stillform Visual Identity

A rigorous brand identity framework examining how proportional ratio, strict typographic hierarchy, and tonal restraint generate institutional authority without decorative symbols.

System Inquiry

Proportion Over Decoration

The project interrogates whether a visual identity can command presence purely through spatial cadence and disciplined typographic weight. Rather than relying on symbolic marks, the system treats margins, baseline grids, and paper weight as primary communicative tools.

Every application operates on an 8-column layout with strict ratio scales. High-contrast near-black typography against off-white uncoated stocks ensures immediate legibility, creating an architectural rhythm suited for cultural institutions and architectural monographs.

Core Observation

Restraint creates structural permanence.

Removing superfluous decorative noise forces every millimeter of whitespace and letter spacing to justify its presence within the collective identity architecture.
